History of El Rey del Mundo Cigar
Translating to “The King of the World”, El Rey Del Mundo  is a pre-revolution Cuban cigar brand that was established in 1882. The cuban cigar is believed to have been created by a German Businessman named Emilio Ohmstedt in 1848. In 1882, the company was acquired by a Spanish Businessman named Antonio Allones, who helped build success for the company around the world.
This brand embodied the culture of Cuban cigars, combining complex, interesting flavours with luxurious appeal. At one point, El Rey del Mundo Cigars were the most prestigious and expensive cigar brand in the world. However, once tastes shifted towards stronger flavour profiles, the milder flavours of El Rey del Mundo cigars became less sought after. It remains the preferred cigar brand for many cigar aficionados who gravitate towards mild-to-medium cigars.
